She is offspring from RBE Swiss. When she first hatched, the RBE expression was not yet obvious, but as she grew, she gradually developed a much richer body color, making her very suitable for related selective breeding projects. She has excellent size and body condition. Her parents were an outcross between two genetically distant bloodlines, and she is a very nice Swiss. Swiss has historically been considered to have relatively poor fertility. I believe this was largely caused by inbreeding depression accumulated through multiple generations of close breeding in the early days, when breeders were focused on increasing numbers. With planned outcrossing, however, Swiss fertility can improve very quickly.
